Automatic Plucking  Location Identification of Tea Leaves

  • A deep learning method was proposed to locate the tea plucking points for the one tip with two leaves - a high plucking standard in tea gardens.

  • The method comprises a Faster R-CNN model and a FCN model in cascade.

  • The Faster R-CNN detects the regions of one tip with two leaves in images.

  • The FCN detects the plucking points in one-tip-with-two-leaves regions.

  • The Faster R-CNN and FCN achieved a recall of 90% and an accuracy of 84.91%.
